Senior Analyst Warns of Right-Wing Election Loss Due to Vote Splitting

Senior Israeli political commentator Yaakov Bardugo has issued a stark warning regarding the potential for the right-wing bloc to lose its governing majority in the upcoming elections, citing the fragmentation of votes within the national camp. Speaking on 'Galei Yisrael' radio, Bardugo emphasized that unity among right-wing parties is crucial for victory, stating, "The most central thing today is the unification of right-wing votes, only this will bring victory." He cautioned that despite a right-wing majority in the country, "there is a possibility for the right to lose 7 mandates, if not more."

Bardugo analyzed the current electoral map, where several parties are running separately from the Likud, and expressed high concern about votes falling below the electoral threshold. He specifically pointed to three right-wing parties positioned to the right of Likud, estimating a near 100% chance that at least one of them will fail to pass the threshold, and a roughly 75% chance that two will fail.

In this context, Bardugo also criticized the decision of retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter to run independently with his party, 'Amcha Yisrael,' calling Winter's political maneuvers "dangerous."
