Over Half a Ton of Illegal Gas Cylinders Seized in Northern Israel
Israeli police, alongside the Gas Authority, have seized over half a ton of illegally imported and stored gas cylinders in northern Israel. The operation targeted a suspect's home in Isfiya and a warehouse in Daliyat al-Karmel.
According to police, the gas cylinders were suspected of being imported from the West Bank and stored without the necessary licenses or safety precautions. The storage conditions were described as dangerous and posed a risk to the surrounding community.
The investigation, led by the National Unit for Investigative Investigations (Yal"k) within Lahav 433, also revealed that the suspect allegedly distributed the gas cylinders to customers without undergoing required safety checks, potentially endangering users.
Detectives from Yal"k and members of the Coastal Special Patrol Unit (Yasam) participated in the search. All seized cylinders were confiscated and transferred to the custody of the Gas Authority.
