Ofer Winter's Party Submits Knesset List, Angering Bezalel Smotrich

Ofer Winter's party, "Amcha Yisrael," submitted its list of candidates for the upcoming Knesset elections on September 7. Winter stated that "Amcha Yisrael" was formed just two weeks prior but has already become a significant player, representing "true right-wing policy" that includes achieving military victory, drafting ultra-Orthodox men into the IDF, and supporting soldiers without compromise. Following the submission, Bezalel Smotrich, head of the Religious Zionism party, sharply criticized Winter. Winter had previously refused merger talks with Smotrich, as both parties are vying for similar right-wing voters. Smotrich lamented Winter's decision, stating it "puts the future of the right-wing government and the State of Israel at stake." He argued that only the "left-wing camp" would benefit from Winter's refusal to unite with the national camp.
