Belz Rebbe Blesses Leadership Changes in Degel HaTorah Movement

The Belz Hasidic dynasty's leader, Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokach, has blessed recent leadership appointments within the Machzikei Hadas movement, a key component of the United Torah Judaism political party. The blessing was given last week as the movement's leaders sought divine guidance for their efforts to advance the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community, particularly in light of current challenges.

As part of this reshuffling, Rabbi Yisrael Eichler will now head the Machzikei Hadas movement. He will continue to guide its public and political direction, including overseeing the movement's representatives in local authorities and branches nationwide. Rabbi Elyakim Stark will serve as the movement's official representative in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, and will be integrated into the national United Torah Judaism list.

Both Eichler and Stark expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them and pledged to maintain close, coordinated cooperation to address the needs of the Haredi public and beyond. The appointments signify a continuation of the movement's commitment to serving its constituents.
