Smotrich Criticizes Winter's Independent Run, Citing Risk to Right-Wing Rule

Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionism party, has strongly criticized Ofer Winter, chairman of the 'Amcha Israel' party, for deciding to run independently in the upcoming elections. Smotrich stated that Winter's decision to compete alone is "a gamble on the future of right-wing rule and the State of Israel."

Smotrich argued that the only beneficiaries of Winter's refusal to unite with other parties on the right are figures like Gali Baharav-Miara, Yitzhak Amit, and their associates on the left. He expressed deep disappointment with Winter's "stubborn refusal of any unity proposal within the national camp," suggesting it casts a dark shadow over Winter's judgment and the credibility of his promise to recommend Benjamin Netanyahu for prime minister and to align only with the national camp.

According to Smotrich, a "true right-winger" would not take such a risk at this time. He concluded by urging voters to support the Religious Zionism party.
