Vandals Deface Art Classroom with Swastikas at Israeli School
School staff at the "Shvilim" Democratic School in Pardes Hanna-Karkur discovered a vandalized art classroom on Sunday morning, just before classes were set to resume. Unknown individuals had broken into the school premises over the weekend, causing extensive damage and spray-painting swastikas on the classroom's windows, blackboard, tables, and other objects.
The school administration immediately alerted the police upon finding the severely damaged classroom. Officers from the Zichron Yaakov station arrived at the scene and launched a criminal investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible for the vandalism.
The police spokesperson stated that the incident involved a school break-in, property damage, and the spray-painting of a swastika. The police are treating the incident seriously, especially the use of offensive symbols, and are committed to finding the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing.
The Pardes Hanna Regional Council issued a strong condemnation of the act, denouncing the swastika graffiti and vandalism as acts of racism, hatred, and violence with no place in the education system or the community. The council and the school are cooperating fully with the police investigation and pledged to maintain a safe and respectful educational environment, showing zero tolerance for expressions of hatred, racism, or violence.
