King Store Supermarket Chain Unveils Flagship Store, Plans Stock Market Debut
Supermarket chain King Store has announced the completion of a significant renovation and upgrade of its flagship store in the Lev Ha'aretz industrial zone in Rosh Ha'ayin, investing NIS 10 million (approximately $2.7 million USD) in the project. The revamped store, spanning approximately 6,500 square meters, introduces the chain's new concept, which will guide future store openings over the next two years. This concept aims to blend King Store's signature offerings of authentic products from Arab and Middle Eastern cuisine, originating from its growth in the Galilee region, with modern innovation and an advanced shopping experience.
The new concept emphasizes a wide selection of familiar brands alongside unique items such as dairy products from the Galilee, pastries from local bakeries, specialty spices, and delicacies. King Store CEO Majdi Katanani stated that the Rosh Ha'ayin store is crucial and the investment was made to enhance the customer experience, offering a combination of variety, convenience, competitive pricing, and the chain's distinctive Middle Eastern flavors.
In addition to the store upgrade, King Store revealed plans for an upcoming initial public offering (IPO) on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. This strategic move is part of a broader expansion plan, which has already seen the opening of two new branches in Tayibe and near the Idan Ha'Negev employment zone in 2026. The company continues to seek further opportunities to grow its presence in the Israeli retail market, bringing its unique product mix and shopping experience to a wider audience across the country.
