Amid clashes during protests against Haredi enlistment and roadblocks across Israel, journalist Akiva Novik voiced support for police action against demonstrators who blocked major traffic routes.
In a post, Novik said road closures directly harm civilians and argued that the law should be enforced firmly against those who use such tactics. He said there should be no leniency for actions meant to disrupt other citizens' daily lives.
Novik wrote, "All credit to the Israel Police for dealing with road blockers as they deserve. Anyone who decides to hurt other citizens by force must know there is a price. We must not treat organized violence leniently. Well done to the police!"
