Trump's AI-Generated Map Flips Geography, Places Israel in the East

Former US President Donald Trump posted a series of AI-generated images, including a bizarre map of Iran that depicted a completely reversed geography. In this distorted map, Israel was placed in the east, Iran in the west, and the Red Sea was shown north of the Mediterranean. Iran was also depicted south of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This was part of a barrage of over ten posts within ninety minutes, which also featured an image of the Kharg oil island being bombed, a graph of the Iranian currency's collapse, and Trump depicted as the legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan.

Amidst escalating tensions, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezai declared the Strait of Hormuz completely closed and dismissed Trump's claims as false. He announced that Iran would soon designate a restricted zone in the Persian Gulf, controlling all ship traffic exclusively, following a US strike on three Iranian tankers in response to an attack on an aircraft carrier. Conversely, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright suggested a nuclear deal might not be signed and that the US could resort to directly destroying Tehran's capabilities.

In the political arena, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the threats from Iran during a Rosh Hashanah toast. He warned that any Iranian mistake leading to an attack on Israel would result in an unimaginable blow. Netanyahu stated that Iran refrains from attacking because it understands the consequences and emphasized Israel's determination to overthrow the Iranian regime, which he described as fighting for its life and nearing its end.
