US Lawmakers Visit Samaria, Vow to Promote 'Judea and Samaria' Name

A delegation of American lawmakers from nine states visited the Samaria region and announced their intention to advance initiatives recognizing "Judea and Samaria" and using this designation in official documents, replacing the term "West Bank." The visiting group included representatives from the legislatures of Alaska, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Montana, Minnesota, Alabama, and Missouri. The visit was organized at the invitation of Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council.

Jason Rapert, founder and president of the American legislative organization NACL, led the delegation. Minnesota Senator Paul Utke stated his commitment to promoting relevant legislation in his home state. Alaska Representative Sarah Vance indicated plans to introduce a bill recognizing Judea and Samaria as part of historical biblical lands of Israel.

The Shomron Regional Council's press service highlighted ongoing cooperation with NACL and other US legislative groups, aiming to broaden support for Judea and Samaria among American politicians and translate it into practical state-level legislative action. This effort has already yielded results, with Tennessee enacting a law mandating the use of "Judea and Samaria" in official documents instead of "West Bank," and Arizona approving a similar resolution.

Further legislative efforts are underway in other states. Bills have been formally introduced in Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, and Georgia, with several more states expected to join these initiatives soon.
