Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, home to Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Jerusalem, is now expected to be ready only by the sixth round of the 2026 season, on October 10. That means the stadium will miss the opening stretch of the league, even though the Israeli Premier League is set to begin on August 22 and the National League on August 16.
According to Sport Channel, Hapoel Jerusalem is expected to be the first team to return to the renovated venue, hosting Maccabi Haifa in a marquee match. Beitar Jerusalem would then play there in the following round against Maccabi Tel Aviv. By missing those early home dates, Beitar will forfeit home matches against Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Petah Tikva, and Hapoel Haifa, while Hapoel Jerusalem will miss home games against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona.
The report also says the new stadium in Ashdod and the renovated stadium in Kiryat Shmona will not be ready until November. The new stadium in Tiberias still has no estimated opening date.
