Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, home to Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Jerusalem, is now expected to be ready only by the sixth round of the Israeli Premier League, on October 10, 2026. That means both clubs will lose several home games at the start of the season, even though the Premier League is scheduled to begin on August 22 and the National League on August 16.
According to Sport Channel reporting on Wednesday, Hapoel Jerusalem is likely to be the first team to return to the stadium, when it hosts Maccabi Haifa in a marquee match. Beitar Jerusalem would follow in the next round with a major home game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Beitar is set to miss home dates against Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Haifa. Hapoel Jerusalem will also lose home fixtures against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona. The report adds that the new stadium in Ashdod and the renovated stadium in Kiryat Shmona will not be ready until November, while the new stadium in Tiberias still has no estimated opening date.
