Top Israeli Journalist Accuses Netanyahu of Promoting 'Treason' Conspiracy

Yoav Limor, host of "Good Morning News" on Israel's Channel 12, directly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on air, accusing him of promoting a conspiracy theory of treason regarding the October 7th Hamas attacks. Limor stated that while no actual treason occurred, Netanyahu's circle, including his family and allies, have actively pushed this narrative for months.

Limor argued that Netanyahu benefits from this theory because it deflects responsibility from him. He asserted that the Prime Minister has access to all intelligence and investigation findings, which he believes exonerate him from direct treason, yet he allows the theory to persist because it serves his political interests.

Furthermore, Limor detailed several of Netanyahu's past policies that he claims weakened Israel's security. These include the policy of 'containment' towards Hamas, which allowed the group to amass billions in funding for military buildup, blocking assassination attempts on Hamas leaders like Sinwar and Deif, and weakening the IDF and Israeli society in the year preceding the war. Limor also pointed to Netanyahu's associates receiving Qatari funds as the closest act to treason.

Limor concluded by stating that the easiest way to ascertain the truth about October 7th would be to establish a state commission of inquiry, but Netanyahu is blocking this as well. He accused the Prime Minister of avoiding the truth, which is detrimental to the thousands of families affected by the attacks who deserve to know what happened.
