Mitzpe Ramon Youth Delegation Completes Educational Tour in Germany

A youth delegation from the 'Lev Ramon' Leadership Center in Mitzpe Ramon, Israel, has returned from an educational and values-based trip to Germany. The program, a collaboration between the Israel Youth Hostels Association (IYHA), the local community center, and the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH), aimed to foster dialogue and understanding.

During their visit, the young Israelis engaged in numerous meetings and in-depth discussions with their German peers, addressing the complex realities in Israel, particularly since the events of October 7th. The itinerary included a visit to the Jewish community in Regensburg, an educational tour focusing on the rise of fascism at a documentation center, and a special memorial ceremony in Munich commemorating the 11 victims of the Munich Olympics massacre.

The delegation was led by Ruti Biton, the director of the local youth unit, who guided the participants through the preparation stages and the journey itself. The Mitzpe Ramon Local Council praised the delegates for their dignified representation of the community and Israel, highlighting the project's contribution to building international connections, deepening historical identity, and developing influential young leadership within the community.
