Retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Amcha Yisrael" movement, has vehemently denied a Channel 12 news report claiming he warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that a ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip would result in the deaths of 15,000 soldiers. Winter described the report as a "complete lie" and attributed it to old politics.
Winter revealed the operational plan he proposed on October 9th, which included a complete siege and population evacuation. He stated that this plan could have led to a quicker decision and saved lives.
