Israeli MMA Fighter Challenges UFC's Belal Muhammad Over Anti-Israel Remarks

Israeli MMA fighter Moshe Eldad has issued a public challenge to UFC fighter Belal Muhammad, following Muhammad's controversial statement expressing a desire to fight Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Eldad, the reigning CFFC champion, took to social media to call out Muhammad, stating, "He is too busy defeating Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, but I am here to fight. I am interested in a fight, let's make it happen this December."

In an interview with Sport Channel, Eldad elaborated on his motivation, suggesting that anti-Israel sentiment is an easy way for some athletes to gain notoriety. "We constantly see people who want to get famous quickly, and the easiest way today is to be anti-Israel," Eldad said. He added, "At least in our sport, they can get a punch in the face for these words. I hope it happens. You want to talk dirty? No problem, back up your words. I am here to fight."

Eldad, who won his CFFC championship belt earlier this year, believes that such public statements often stem from a desire for attention. He directly challenged Muhammad to a fight, proposing a December showdown. The incident highlights a recurring issue of anti-Israel and antisemitic remarks within the mixed martial arts community, which Eldad aims to confront directly.
