Gadi Eisenkot Offers Former Mayor Safe Knesset Spot
Gadi Eisenkot, head of the Yishai party and a candidate for prime minister, is set to meet with the former mayor of Tayibe, Shu'a Mansour, on Tuesday. The meeting's purpose is to offer Mansour a secure spot, number 13, on the Yishai party's list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Recent polls indicate the Yishai party could secure over twenty seats in the Knesset. Eisenkot is currently finalizing his party's list ahead of the official submission deadline to the Central Elections Committee on Tuesday evening. The Knesset elections are the twenty-sixth in Israel's history.
