New Right-Wing Party Backing Netanyahu to Launch Tuesday

A new right-wing political party, which will declare its support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and its opposition to the judicial system and the "deep state," is set to be unveiled on Tuesday. The announcement was made by constitutional law expert Guy Bussi on Sunday during an interview with 103fm radio. Bussi indicated that prominent figures from the right-wing media outlet Channel 14 are expected to be involved.

Tuesday marks the final deadline for submitting party lists and candidate slates for the upcoming Knesset elections. Prime Minister Netanyahu is reportedly attempting to dissuade retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter from running independently. Netanyahu fears that Winter's party might not pass the electoral threshold, potentially jeopardizing the broader right-wing bloc.

Netanyahu has offered Winter reserved spots on the Likud party's list, an offer Winter reportedly rejected. Furthermore, Netanyahu's efforts to persuade Winter and his associates to merge with the parties of Bezalel Smotrich and Geula Fainstein were unsuccessful, as Winter stated his group would not collaborate with existing parties.
