Maccabi Haifa players and staff breathed a sigh of relief after securing a vital 2-1 victory over Hapoel Petah Tikva on Saturday, thanks to a spectacular late goal by Brazilian forward Bruninho in the 85th minute. This win provides a much-needed respite for the team following a difficult start to the league season, marked by a heavy defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv and significant fan discontent.
