Maccabi Haifa Coach Bakhar Wants Sagi Mammadov to Stay

Maccabi Haifa coach Barak Bakhar expressed his desire for player Sagi Mammadov to remain with the team following their 2-1 victory over Hapoel Petah Tikva. Mammadov, who recently returned to full training after a calf injury, is considered an important part of the squad, and Bakhar stated unequivocally, "We want Sagi Mammadov to stay. Absolutely."

The win against Hapoel Petah Tikva came after a disappointing loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Bakhar acknowledged that while the team secured the win, not everything was perfect, noting they had to cope with some pressure. He highlighted the winning goal scored by new signing Bruninho in the 85th minute, stating, "This is why we brought him in." Bakhar added that the team had wanted Bruninho in January and that his earlier arrival might have led to a better finish to the previous season, though he cautioned that one player cannot win games alone.

Regarding the team's creativity and the signing of Pedro Brazão, Bakhar explained that the new player was brought in to enhance offensive production. He indicated that the team is always looking for opportunities and that Brazão is a talented player who will integrate into the squad. Bakhar believes the team's performance can improve and that they are exploring options until the transfer window closes.
