US Ambassador Falls for Palestinian Village's 'Media Trap' Against Settlers

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee visited the Palestinian village of Turmus Ayya in the Samaria region on Saturday, where he was allegedly led into a staged "media trap" by locals.

Huckabee was reportedly directed to a specific location during a routine security patrol by settlers from a nearby farm. The settlers' vehicle, conducting its daily rounds to protect the farm's residents, was presented to the ambassador as an act of trespassing and property destruction occurring in real-time. Unfamiliar with the local security dynamics, Huckabee filmed the vehicle and posted the video to his X account, criticizing the settlers.

"Visited Americans in Turmus Ayya to hear disturbing stories of criminal terror acts by a band of trespassers who roam brazenly, on the property of legal property owners. Disgraceful acts that do not reflect 99% of Israelis," Huckabee wrote, captioning the video. He also noted a large press group was present to cover his visit.

Residents of the nearby settlement expressed deep regret that hostile elements managed to deceive a friendly ambassador. They asserted that the truth about Jewish presence and security in Judea and Samaria is stronger than any provocation or temporary misrepresentation. They claim the incident was a deliberate and well-planned ruse by the village's residents.
