The story · English

A woman sustained moderate injuries and other individuals were also hurt in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in the Shuafat neighborhood of Jerusalem. The emergency services received a report of the accident around 1:10 PM. Fire and rescue teams from the Wadi Joz station in East Jerusalem arrived at the scene to find several injured individuals, including a woman trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Rescue crews immediately began complex extrication procedures using specialized hydraulic equipment. They successfully freed the trapped woman and handed her over to medical teams, who transported her to the hospital for further treatment. Captain Zaki Al-Bastami, the incident commander, stated that upon arrival, his teams observed the collision and the trapped woman requiring immediate assistance. He added that they worked quickly and carefully to remove the door and create an opening, allowing medical personnel to provide life-saving initial treatment and transport her to the hospital.

The Fire and Rescue Authority reiterated its appeal to drivers to exercise caution and adjust their speed to road conditions, reminding the public to call emergency number 102 immediately in case of any incident.
