Israeli Journalist Slams PM Netanyahu, Broadcaster Over Poll

Ilan Lukatch, a journalist for Channel 12 News, has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and i24NEWS anchor Noa Dori, following the release of a new poll. The poll, conducted by i24NEWS and Direct Polls, surveyed opposition voters regarding their identification with statements about loving the country versus hating Netanyahu. The results showed 66% identified more with "I love the country," while 16% identified more with "I hate Netanyahu more than I love the country," and 18% were unsure.

Lukatch responded on his X account, criticizing the attempt to link love for the country with one's stance on Netanyahu. He argued that those who love the country do not "burn it," "fund its enemies," or "employ enemy propaganda agents as close advisors." He further stated that hatred for someone perceived to have "burned and dismantled the country" is a "logical reaction for those with a prepared mind."

In a particularly sharp remark directed at Dori, Lukatch wrote, "Send your backward patriotism polls to Netanyahu to keep them in the depths of your ass next to your tongue." This statement was made in reference to Dori's role in the poll's release and her show "Cabinet Friday."

This is not the first time Lukatch has publicly criticized Netanyahu. Previously, he addressed a viral claim that an international arrest warrant had been issued against him by the CIA for publishing Yair Netanyahu's Miami address, which Lukatch denied. He also previously wished Netanyahu would hear Eden Ben Zaken's albums on repeat in prison.
