Southampton Draws Late Goal, Daniel Peretz's Clean Sheet Hopes Dashed

Southampton, featuring Israeli goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, narrowly missed a victory on Saturday, settling for a 1-1 draw against Lincoln. The Saints conceded a dramatic late equalizer, spoiling what had been a strong performance from Peretz.

Lincoln controlled much of the first half, with Peretz making two crucial saves to deny Freddie Draper a brace. Southampton took the lead just before halftime when Wellington Santos scored with a powerful strike from 30 yards.

In the 87th minute, poor marking by Nathan Wood on a free kick allowed Mikel Ladapo to score with a header, leveling the score. This marks the second consecutive draw for Southampton and leaves them disappointed.
