Two Injured in Shooting Incident in Northern Israeli Town
A 22-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy sustained serious and moderate penetrating gunshot wounds respectively in the town of Al-Fureidis, located in northern Israel. The incident occurred on September 5, 2026, around 12:46 PM.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics responded to the scene after receiving a report of a violent incident. Upon arrival, they provided initial medical treatment to the victims, including controlling bleeding, before transporting them to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center for further care. The younger victim was described as being in moderate condition, while the older victim was in serious condition.
Paramedics described finding both victims conscious and suffering from penetrating injuries. They continued medical treatment en route to the hospital.
The police have opened an investigation into the shooting. Officers from the Zichron Yaakov station arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and began their inquiry. Initial assessments suggest the motive for the shooting is criminal, though the circumstances are still under examination.
