Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Dolev Haziza Recounts Humiliating Exit

Dolev Haziza, a long-serving midfielder for Maccabi Haifa, has revealed details of a contentious meeting with club management regarding his departure. Haziza described feeling humiliated and treated like an outcast during his exit from the club after seven years.

In an unaired segment of an interview, Haziza recounted initiating a conversation with senior club officials Uzi Mor and Or Shahar. This meeting occurred after the decision was made not to include him in the team's training camp, a move that angered Haziza, who felt he was not being properly prepared for the upcoming season.

"I told them this is not the way to part with a player who was in this club for 7 years," Haziza stated, expressing his disappointment with how his departure was handled. He felt he deserved better treatment after dedicating himself to the club, saying, "I gave my life and the club gave me everything. Treat me like someone who deserves it."

Haziza compared his situation to how stars like Messi and Ramos were treated upon leaving their clubs, emphasizing that he was not given the option to stay or go and felt he was treated as if he were a "leper."
