Maccabi Haifa's Dolev Haziza Recounts Humiliating Exit Meeting

Maccabi Haifa midfielder Dolev Haziza has spoken out about his difficult departure from the club, detailing a meeting with senior officials where he felt humiliated. Haziza expressed disappointment with both teammate Lior Refaelov and coach Barak Bak in his candid remarks, which have sparked considerable discussion online.

In an unaired video segment, Haziza revealed he initiated a meeting with Uzi Mor and Or Shahar after being informed he would not be joining the team for their training camp. Haziza stated he told them that his seven-year tenure with the club deserved a better farewell and that he was not provided adequate support, especially after being excluded from the training camp.

"I gave my life and the club gave me everything. Treat me like someone who deserves it," Haziza recounted telling Mor and Shahar. He drew parallels to how stars like Messi and Ramos were treated upon leaving their clubs, emphasizing his desire for respect and the option to decide his own future. "I was humiliated, I reached the bottom of the bottom, and I don't want this to happen to the next player. Because it already happened to me," he added.

Haziza questioned the treatment he received, asking, "Am I a leper? Whether it's good or not, give me the respect to prepare for the season properly." Although he did not join the initial training camp, Haziza later rejoined Maccabi Haifa's training sessions before transferring to Maccabi Netanya.
