Israeli security forces have been placed on heightened alert due to the possibility of an Iranian attack. While Israel does not possess confirmation of an imminent strike, assessments indicate a high probability of such a scenario, particularly during the upcoming Jewish holidays beginning September 11.

The heightened alert follows a recent escalation in the region. The United States conducted several strikes on Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz, prompting retaliatory attacks by Iran on American military bases in Arab countries. Although these events did not directly involve Israel, the situation could rapidly change.

Experts suggest Iran may initiate larger-scale attacks due to increasing pressure from a U.S. naval blockade and economic sanctions. Iran's leadership, feeling cornered and potentially perceiving the U.S. as hesitant to escalate before elections, might seek to demonstrate defiance. This could lead to an increased likelihood of an attack on Israel, potentially launched via missiles or drones from locations like Yemen, Iraq, or Lebanon, rather than directly from Iranian territory.
