Hapoel Petah Tikva Sells Chipolopolo Songa to Portuguese Club for €700,000

Hapoel Petah Tikva has finalized the transfer of Zambian forward Chipolopolo Songa to Portuguese club Moreirense for €700,000. The 21-year-old player has signed with the Portuguese team and completed his medical examinations. Hapoel Petah Tikva will retain 20% of Songa's future transfer rights.

The deal, brokered by agents Nir Amir and Nir Karin, faced significant delays and was nearly abandoned before being successfully concluded through the efforts of both parties. Songa is the second Zambian player to move from Israel to Europe this year, following Kings Kangwa's transfer from Hapoel Be'er Sheva to Panathinaikos.

Songa began his career in Zambia before joining Sektzia Ness Ziona in Israel's second division in the summer of 2023, where he scored 8 goals in 29 matches. He then moved to Hapoel Petah Tikva, contributing to their promotion to the top league and scoring seven goals with three assists in 25 appearances last season. During his two years with Hapoel Petah Tikva, Songa recorded a total of 14 goals and 17 assists.
