Hezbollah MP Questions Israeli Control of Al-Tahir Ridge

A Lebanese parliament member representing Hezbollah, Aheeb Hamadeh, has expressed doubt regarding Israel's claims of full control over the Al-Tahir Ridge. In an interview, Hamadeh stated that ambiguity persists about the actual situation on the ground.

He questioned how Israel could claim control while continuing to heavily bomb and attack the ridge from the air. While acknowledging Israel might control the area from the air or surround it geographically, Hamadeh asserted that Israeli forces have not physically entered or taken over the facility. He pointed out that Israel has not released photographic evidence to support its claims of capturing the ridge or its weaponry and logistical equipment.

Hamadeh also raised questions about Israel's assertions of killing numerous militants and others fleeing, asking how this is possible if Israel maintains a tight aerial and ground encirclement. Despite his skepticism, he noted that an Israeli takeover of the ridge would not be a military disaster nor the end of the road, especially considering the "heroic battle" put up by the resistance fighters there.
