60,000 Pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Israeli Restrictions

Approximately 60,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, according to the Islamic Waqf (Endowment) Department. Palestinian sources reported that Israeli forces imposed tight entry controls, preventing dozens of young men from reaching the mosque. One individual, Amir Al-Rishq, was arrested near Hatta Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. Israeli forces also reportedly erected metal barriers in city streets and near the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stopping worshippers to check their identities and conduct searches.
