Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Team Wins Preseason Tune-Up
Hapoel Jerusalem secured an 86-82 victory over Hapoel HaEmek in their second exhibition game of the preseason on Friday. The match, held at the Malha Arena before a large home crowd, served as a tune-up for the upcoming season.
Yuval Sussman was the standout player for Hapoel Jerusalem, leading all scorers with 25 points and adding six rebounds. Shayok Miltion contributed 13 points, following his strong performance in a previous game against Hapoel Holon. Eitan Burt also scored 13 points, while DeVante' Cacock added 11. Newcomer Kenny Lofton Jr. made his unofficial debut, scoring 6 points but also committing five turnovers and fouling out.
For Hapoel HaEmek, JJ Kaplan and Malik Hall were the top scorers with 17 points each. Christian Mekwolo added 11 points.
In another exhibition game, Maccabi Ashdod defeated Maccabi Ramat Gan 103-92. Ben Calhoun Gold led Ashdod with 19 points, supported by Isaiah Hill (18 points) and Robert Turnerr (17 points). Ahmed Kabeer was the leading scorer for Ramat Gan with 24 points.
