Yeshiva Student Critically Injured After Falling While Dismantling Air Conditioner

A 22-year-old student at the 'Rabbeinu Chaim Ozer' yeshiva in Bnei Brak is in critical condition after falling from a significant height within the study hall. The incident occurred as the student, identified as Yosef Shimon ben Bat Sheva Esther, was dismantling an old air conditioning unit in preparation for the High Holidays. He reportedly fell from a height of approximately two stories after the air conditioner was dislodged from its place.

Emergency medical responders from United Hatzalah arrived at the scene and provided initial treatment. According to witnesses, the student was attempting to secure something in the air conditioner when it came loose, causing him to fall. He was found unconscious and suffering from multiple systemic injuries.

The student was stabilized, immobilized, and transported to the trauma unit at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, where he is currently sedated and on a respirator. Medical personnel described his condition as severe.

An urgent public appeal has been issued for prayers for Yosef Shimon ben Bat Sheva Esther's complete recovery, asking the public to recite prayers and observe the upcoming Sabbath early for his healing, along with all the sick of Israel.
