Israel Prepares for Limited Escalation After Hezbollah Tunnel Complex Raid

Israeli security forces are bracing for the possibility of limited escalation on the northern front following the completion of an operation to clear a large underground Hezbollah complex near Ali al-Taher hill. The Israeli military announced on Thursday that it had "purged" the extensive subterranean facility, which it claims was built over two decades with Iranian funding and planning.

The operation, kept under wraps to prevent endangering soldiers and informing Hezbollah, reportedly concluded with no militants left alive inside. The Israeli military described the underground complex as a strategic asset for Hezbollah, containing command and control rooms, weapons storage, power generators, and living quarters. The IDF claims its recent operations have degraded Hezbollah's ability to launch attacks from these facilities, which were reportedly used extensively during recent conflicts.
