Man from Jenin Killed in Shooting Near Anatá, Jerusalem

A 54-year-old man from Jenin was killed in a shooting incident near the town of Anatá, northeast of Jerusalem, early Friday morning. Palestinian police spokesperson Loay Arzeikat stated that the Public Prosecution and police have launched an investigation into the incident. Arzeikat confirmed the victim was a resident of Jenin. The Public Prosecution has ordered the body to be held and transferred to the forensic medicine institute for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Anatá, a Palestinian town located near Jerusalem.
