Jonny Greenwood to Return to Israel for Oud Festival Performance

The 27th International Oud Festival will take place in Jerusalem from November 5th to 12th, featuring a lineup of international and local artists. Among the headliners is Jonny Greenwood, guitarist for the band Radiohead, who will reunite with his collaborator Dudu Tassa for another performance of their show "Jarak Qaribak," meaning "Your Neighbor is Your Kin."

Ticket prices for the festival range from 90 to 250 shekels. The festival will be held at three venues across Jerusalem: the Jerusalem Theater, the Khan Theater, and the Confederation House.

Other notable international guests include veteran Greek singer Babis Tsertos, who will host Greek singer and santur player Arty Kourti. The festival will also showcase three Indian classical musicians: bansuri flutist Rakesh Chaurasia, sitar player Partha Chatterjee, and tabla player Ojas Adhiya.

Local artists will also feature prominently. A tribute to the late Israeli singer Ehud Uziel will mark the tenth anniversary of his death, led by Avi Belleli of the band Nekam HaTractor and featuring performances by Ephrat Goz, Hila Ruach, Ruth Dolores Weiss, and Galia Hai. Other Israeli acts include Shlomi Shaban with his piano, who will host Mark Eliyahu and the Kadosh brothers; opera singer Noor Darwish; Gur Wulffner's Sazland ensemble; oud player, composer, and researcher Dr. Wissam Odeh's trio; oud recital by Professor Taysir Elias; "Bridge of Strings" show by oud player, singer, and composer Charlie Sabach; and a joint performance by pianist Omri Mor and percussionist and singer Shlomo Bar.

The festival will conclude with a performance by the band Tip-Ex and the Hofla and Hora Orchestra.
