Ben & Jerry's Iconic Chubby Hubby Flavor Returns to Israel After Decade

After a decade-long absence, Ben & Jerry's beloved "Chubby Hubby" ice cream flavor has returned to Israeli shelves following a widespread campaign and hundreds of thousands of votes from fans. The flavor, a rich blend of vanilla ice cream with peanut butter pretzel chunks, fudge chunks, peanut butter swirls, and fudge swirls, was a fan favorite known for its unique sweet and salty combination.

The "Chubby Hubby" flavor was originally created as a prank by two employees who convinced a colleague that a flavor combining all his favorite foods existed. When the colleague inquired about purchasing it, the company decided to turn the joke into a real product.

This flavor was previously removed from the market for various reasons, leaving many consumers nostalgic. It has made brief, limited-edition returns in the past, most notably in late 2016, but has not been a permanent fixture since.

The return was prompted by a campaign where consumers voted from a shortlist of five discontinued flavors. "Chubby Hubby" emerged as the clear winner, securing the majority of votes.

The ice cream will be available in major supermarket chains and stores across Israel for approximately 24.50 shekels.
