A child about 9 years old was seriously injured Tuesday evening after an electric bike he was riding with another person skidded during travel in the Sofrim complex neighborhood of Bnei Brak. He suffered a head injury and was taken by emergency responders to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv for further treatment.
Magen David Adom senior medic Yosef Pesach said they received a report of an electric bike that had slipped. When crews arrived, they found a boy about 9 years old, semi-conscious and with a severe head injury. He said the team treated him at the scene and evacuated him in a Magen David Adom intensive care ambulance, with his condition described as serious and unstable.
Rescue medics Reuven Dayan and Yosef Pesach gave a slightly different age estimate, saying the rider was 8 years old. They said they found him semi-conscious after he fell while riding. Together with rescue and MDA medics and paramedics, they provided initial treatment, including immobilization and bandaging, before handing him over for transport to the trauma room at Ichilov Hospital.
