Senior officials from several Arab countries have recently initiated discussions with members of Gadi Eisenkot's inner circle, preparing for the possibility of his ascent to the prime ministership following Israel's October 27 elections. These contacts aim to understand Eisenkot's potential political and strategic orientations should he lead the government, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The region's nations are closely monitoring Israel's election campaign and the potential for a new coalition to replace Benjamin Netanyahu's government.

Concurrently, Arab officials are maintaining contact with Naftali Bennett, leader of the Beyahad party, and opposition leader Yair Lapid. These relationships are not new, dating back to their tenures as prime minister and foreign minister, respectively. The United Arab Emirates has publicly acknowledged some of these ties, previously sharing images of visits by both Israeli leaders to the UAE, even after Netanyahu's return to power.
