Jerusalem and Kiryat Gat Reach Women's Cup Final
Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem and MS Kiryat Gat will face each other in the final of the Athena Cup after winning their respective semi-final matches on Thursday. The final is scheduled to take place just a week before the start of the 2026/27 Israeli Women's Premier League season.
Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem secured their spot in the final with a dominant 4-0 victory over Maccabi ASA Tel Aviv. Smadar Cohen scored a brace in the 58th and 63rd minutes, with Carol Cardozo and Rachel Steinshneider adding goals in the 69th and 89th minutes respectively.
MS Kiryat Gat also delivered a strong performance, defeating Maccabi Talent Hadera 6-0. Orr Dibon opened the scoring in the 14th minute and added another goal before halftime. Marian Awad also scored before the break, and Dibon completed her hat-trick in the second half, with Daniela Halana and Alice Belukhin adding further goals.
In the ranking matches, Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Holon 3-1 to secure fifth place, while Bnot Netanya beat Hapoel Ra'anana 1-0 for seventh place.
