Singer Naor Cohen Accuses Moshik Afia of Plagiarism

Singer Naor Cohen has accused fellow artist Moshik Afia of releasing one of Cohen's songs on his new album without proper credit. Cohen claims that about a decade ago, he recorded a song titled "Ze Ani" (It's Me). To his surprise, he discovered that Afia's new album features the same song, albeit under a different title, "Hayiti Bisheshelcha" (I Was For You), with no mention of Cohen as the original performer or that it was a cover.

Cohen stated in an interview that he wants the credit he deserves as the original performer. He explained that the original songwriter, Revital Nechmani, allegedly forgot about the song's prior release and passed it to Afia. Cohen feels that even though there might not be a legal obligation, Afia and his team should have acknowledged the song's origin, especially since it wasn't a new composition for Afia. Cohen expressed disappointment, saying, "I didn't receive my respect as an artist. After all, it's my song. A song I worked hard on, ran to the studio for, and invested in." He added, "It's not nice for a singer of this stature to act like this towards smaller artists." Cohen insists he only asked for credit.
