Dedi Simchi Quits Politics After Leaving Benny Gantz's Party
Retired Brigadier General Dedi Simchi has decided to completely withdraw from the upcoming political race, according to a report by Shahar Glick. This decision follows his earlier announcement that he would not run on Benny Gantz's "Blue and White" party list.
Simchi and Gantz had been in advanced negotiations for a joint run, with Simchi reportedly considered for the second spot on the list. However, Simchi's subsequent decision to leave the political arena entirely, rather than seek other party affiliations, marks an early exit before he officially entered politics.
Simchi previously served as the Commissioner of the Fire and Rescue Services.
