Veteran Radio Hosts Teichner and Zarchovitch End 21-Year Partnership
Radio hosts Sharon Teichner and Eran Zarchovitch are concluding their joint program after 21 years, contrary to earlier expectations that they would continue broadcasting together elsewhere. The final episode is scheduled to air this coming Tuesday. The duo announced their decision via a Facebook post, stating, "At this stage, we have decided not to continue to another station or podcast and to bid farewell to the program." They explained their decision by saying, "Now we feel the time has come to close our cookie jar and say goodbye to the program."
The partnership began 21 years ago with "Tziporei Layla Menakrot" on Galgalatz, followed by "The Evening Program" on Radio Tel Aviv and "Hoterim Lamagea" back on Galgalatz. For the past 11 years, they hosted their show, "Teichner and Zarchovitch," on Radio Tel Aviv. The hosts emphasized that their personal friendship remains strong, noting, "We are happy that we are managing to finish after exactly two decades in the same state we started: two friends who love to make each other laugh."
Plans are underway for a farewell event to commemorate their 21 years together, featuring guests, friends, and music from their show's history.
