Israel's Most Threatened Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir Details Security Concerns

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir discussed the intense pressures and threats he faces in an interview conducted on a football field, as part of a project exploring politicians' personal lives. Ben-Gvir, wearing a Beitar Jerusalem jersey, spoke about his childhood love for football while his children practiced nearby.

The conversation shifted to the political pressures of coalition negotiations, with Ben-Gvir noting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was pressuring him regarding list formations. He also revealed his parental anxiety over his son serving in a special unit in Lebanon, a concern heightened by his own role in sensitive security cabinet discussions.

Ben-Gvir elaborated on the difficult balance between making critical security decisions in the cabinet and his personal fear for his son's safety. He reiterated his hardline security policy towards security prisoners, aimed at deterring terrorists.
