Hapoel Tiberias FC Disputes Player's Contract Termination Demand

Hapoel Tiberias FC is attempting to resolve a contract dispute with last season's star player, Guy Hadida, who is demanding to be released from his contract without a transfer fee. The club insists Hadida has a valid contract for two more years and that he must pay a release clause if he wishes to leave.

A hearing is scheduled for Sunday at the Football Association's arbitration institution regarding Hadida's demand. Arie Kalmanzon, the owner of Hapoel Tiberias, stated that Hadida is expected to return to training on September 13th and that he anticipates the player will understand his contractual obligations after the arbitration hearing. Kalmanzon acknowledged Hadida's attempt to leverage a past incident for which the club was already penalized, but emphasized the existence of a written contract.

Shimon Hadari, a representative of the ownership, echoed Kalmanzon's sentiments, advocating for amicable settlements over legal battles. He stressed that the club will not relinquish its rights but is open to reaching agreements, as it has with other individuals. Hadari also expressed confidence in the team's future, declaring that Hapoel Tiberias will not be relegated and will show significant professional improvement within a month.

Hadari also explained his return to the club, drawing a parallel to a previous coaching engagement where he stepped in during a crisis. He stated he is returning to Hapoel Tiberias with enthusiasm and a desire to help.
