Tiberias FC Disputes Player's Free Transfer Demand Amid Contract Row

Hapoel Ironi Tiberias is preparing for the new football season while simultaneously addressing internal disputes, most notably with last season's star player, Guy Hadida. Hadida is demanding to be released from his contract without a transfer fee, a claim the club contests.

A urgent hearing is scheduled for Sunday at the Football Association's arbitration institution regarding Hadida's demand. Tiberias maintains that Hadida has a valid contract and that any release would require payment of specified clauses.

Arie Kalmanzon, the owner of Tiberias, stated that Hadida is expected to return to training on the 13th of the month. Kalmanzon believes the arbitration hearing will clarify that Hadida is under contract with Tiberias for two more years. He acknowledged Hadida's attempt to leverage a past, resolved incident but insisted on the contractual obligations, including release clauses.

"I understand Guy, he is trying to exploit an event that happened in the past, which is no longer relevant and we were punished for it. He wants to be released without paying the amounts he owes the club. We will wait for Sunday," Kalmanzon said.

Team representative Shimon Hadari emphasized the club's commitment to fairness, stating, "We will never allow theft. We can sit and reach agreements. We have reached agreements with everyone here and have resolved all issues with them. Why rush to create headlines and go to lawyers when agreements can be reached?"

Hadari added that Tiberias will not relinquish its rights, asserting that Hadida is aware of the written agreement. He suggested that Hadida, as an adult at the time of signing, shares some responsibility and that a settlement is preferable to legal battles and public attention.
