Hadiida Demands Release from Ironi Tiberias Amid Trust Crisis

Midfielder Guy Hadiida has formally requested to leave Ironi Tiberias, filing an urgent arbitration claim seeking immediate release from the club. Hadiida, 31, who has two years remaining on his contract, cites a "fundamental crisis of trust" as the reason for his departure.

Both Hadiida and the club are expected to appear before the Football Association's arbitration institution on Sunday to resolve the issue. Hadiida was a standout player for Tiberias last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists, and also contributed significantly in their previous promotion season with 8 goals and 7 assists.

The current dispute follows a three-month period of no contact, stemming from controversies surrounding "loaned players" and "double contracts" that have affected both the club and Hadiida. He had hoped for a move to a larger club after being instrumental in Tiberias's league survival, but the "loaned players" scandal led to his suspension.

Ironi Tiberias expects Hadiida to return to training on September 13th with other suspended players, stating he remains their player unless a suitable offer is received. The club is seeking a transfer fee of 600,000 shekels from one of Israel's top five teams, but is willing to negotiate for a smaller club, emphasizing he will not be released for free.

Hadiida's lawyer, Avi Shai Ifargan, stated that the arbitration claim aims to recognize Hadiida as a free agent due to the ongoing trust issues. He explained that while Hadiida showed leniency previously regarding double contracts, a recent incident involving an IV fluid infusion, ordered by the club and leading to his prolonged suspension, crossed a "red line."
