IDF Conducts Major Drills Near Syrian Border
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted large-scale military exercises this week near the Syrian border. The drills, organized by the 210th "Bashan" Regional Division responsible for the border with Syria in the Golan Heights and the Mount Dov sector with Lebanon, aimed to test forces' readiness for sudden and complex scenarios and enhance rapid response capabilities.
Participants included soldiers from the division, units from adjacent sectors, the Home Front Command, and representatives from civilian authorities and rescue services. They practiced dozens of scenarios, including responses to large-scale emergencies.
The IDF stated that the exercises focused on refining combat skills acquired since October 7, with particular emphasis on reservist deployment, firepower application, special forces operations, and maintaining overall army readiness.
The military emphasized that the maneuvers are intended to improve the forces' ability to operate simultaneously on multiple fronts and react swiftly to complex changes in the operational environment.
