The Nativ HaDa'at Yeshiva is celebrating the release of a new book in the "Vead Leil Shabbat" series, featuring teachings on the topic of Torah acquisition. These unique teachings were delivered by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yisrael Bonim Schreiber, who is recovering from an illness. The teachings, known for their sharp insights, gained wide recognition in Torah circles.

This latest volume is dedicated to the love and diligence required for Torah study, even amidst hardship. The release is particularly meaningful as the teachings were given during Rabbi Schreiber's severe illness. Despite his condition, he would ascend to the upper floor dining room each Shabbat night to deliver the teachings, often needing to pause and rest on the stairs due to his weakness, a stark contrast to his use of the elevator on weekdays.

During a celebratory gathering at his home in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem, Rabbi Schreiber spoke about the dedication involved in delivering these teachings. When asked how to fight, he responded simply, "Fight! Just fight!". Students sang a special song composed by Rabbi Shmuel Greineman based on the verse, "May Your compassion come and revive me, for Your Torah is my delight."

Rabbi Schreiber expressed his emotion and prayed to continue the series with good health for many years to come.
