Hundreds of Chickens Die in Truck Fire on Highway 6
A transport truck carrying hundreds of chickens caught fire overnight on Highway 6, near the Nachal Sorek interchange. The blaze resulted in the deaths of the birds and significant damage to the vehicle. Firefighters from the Kiryat Gat station responded to the incident shortly after midnight, after receiving a report at 12:22 AM. They worked to extinguish the flames and brought the fire under control. Searches of the scene confirmed no people were trapped or injured in the incident.
The fire department released images of the event, showing the truck engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
